JAD “Street Style” Sherman Frame with Custom Frame Stand (1 of 1 Complete)
This one-of-a-kind JAD “Street Style” Sherman frame represents one of the rarest artifacts produced by BMX builder Mike DiMartino. Hand-fabricated during DiMartino’s time producing JAD frames, the Sherman is one of only six total frames created during his tenure.
This particular example is the only known “Street Style” variant, featuring unique geometry and reinforcements specifically designed for street riding. The frame reflects the craftsmanship and experimentation common among boutique BMX builders during the early 1990s, when small-scale fabricators often produced extremely limited runs of custom frames.
Accompanying the frame is a one-of-one custom JAD frame stand, also built by DiMartino. The stand was designed specifically for the bike and further emphasizes the handcrafted nature of the project.
Together, the frame and stand form a singular artifact representing the creativity, craftsmanship, and small-scale manufacturing culture that defined many independent BMX builders of the era.
Owner clarification supplied July 25, 2026: Dave Lesorgan was a subsequent owner and the person from whom Kyle A. Huffman purchased the frame. Dave Lesorgan did not build the frame stand. The frame and matching stand were built by Mike DiMartino. The published source line is preserved, with this clarification attached to prevent misattribution.
