Component History
The component record distinguishes stock retention, removal, installation, later installation, provenance components, and parts considered but withheld.
The most important curatorial decisions are not simply additions:
- stock brake arms were retained and adjusted rather than replaced;
- stock grips were acknowledged as functional even though a different setup goal led to removal;
- Harry Leary’s seat and seat post were installed;
- DIRTWERX-related grip hardware was cleaned and returned to active use;
- the Harry-linked vintage chain was preserved rather than risked in a track-focused build;
- the Lititz BMX Archive stem cap marked the bicycle’s institutional identity;
- Tioga PowerBlock tires documented the later mature riding configuration.
