Known as one of the most technical and consistent riders in modern Canadian BMX racing, James Palmer became a leading figure on the international BMX Supercross circuit. Born in North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1994, Palmer transitioned from motocross to BMX at a young age and steadily developed a riding style built for the speed, precision, and technical demands of modern Supercross tracks.
Palmer gained international recognition in 2016 by advancing to a BMX World Cup Supercross final, becoming one of the few Canadian men to reach that level of competition. He later secured his first Canadian National BMX Elite title in 2019 and achieved a major career milestone by representing Canada at the Tokyo Olympic Games, advancing into the quarterfinal rounds.
Beyond competition, Palmer remained deeply connected to BMX culture through media and community involvement, including co-hosting the Coffee Chatter BMX podcast alongside fellow Olympian Tory Nyhaug. His combination of consistency, technical skill, and professionalism helped strengthen Canada’s presence on the international BMX stage.
