Huffman of Lititz BMX**—and yes, his adorable 18-month-old daughter is along for the ride! 🍼💥 In this episode, BMX Hall of Famer and industry icon **Greg Hill** drops by Kyle’s house—not to hit a track, but to *bid on his garage floor*! Greg, now the proud Owner/Operator of **Epoxy Surface Professionals** (serving the Los Angeles region), shares some seriously smooth insights—both about **epoxy flooring** and his **legendary BMX past**. We cover it all: ✅ Greg’s flooring process, pricing, warranties & what *real epoxy* actually is 📸 Why Greg takes so many photos of garages he works on 📞 How to hire Greg (yes, we’ve got the contact info!) 🧰 Does Greg work solo or have a crew? And then... things take a nostalgic turn. 👀 🏁 Greg opens up about old-school BMX memories: * His friendship (and rivalry?) with **Harry Leary** * Did he *owe* Harry a trip into the wall? * Food fights on the freeway 🍔🚗💥 * The *Little Rascals*-style club he may or may not have run with his wife * What he *really* thinks about being the inspiration behind **“The Leary” jump** 😲 * Practicing gates with **Stu Thomsen**, **Clint Miller**, and **Harry** in his own driveway * 1985 Grands, **Pete Loncarevich**, and what came *after* the end of GHP * And most importantly… **Is Greg Hill happy today?** This episode is packed with BMX gold and garage goals. Yeah, that's no get some ideas from it. Yeah, that's no problem, man. Yeah, there's there's a problem, man. Yeah, there's there's a few different colors. I mean, off the few different colors. I mean, off the top of my head, there's a color tuxedo, top of my head, there's a color tuxedo, which is good. It's got gray, black, and which is good. It's got gray, black, and white. Pretty much goes with everything. white. Pretty much goes with everything. I like that. Yeah, it's a good color. I like that. Yeah, it's a good color. You know, more importantly, the You know, more importantly, the condition of the floor and the prep condition of the floor and the prep work. I mean, any questions you have, I work. I mean, any questions you have, I can tell you all about it right now if can tell you all about it right now if you want. All right, cool. Yeah, let's you want. All right, cool. Yeah, let's roll through here in a sec. I, you know, roll through here in a sec. I, you know, I know you're a legend in the flooring I know you're a legend in the flooring industry. Uh, so I'm just kind of industry. Uh, so I'm just kind of curious to hear your recommendation. I curious to hear your recommendation. I love that, man. love that, man. Well, I love your pictures on Facebook. Well, I love your pictures on Facebook. You know, sometimes people ask me, "Hey, You know, sometimes people ask me, "Hey, man. How come you always post?" And I'm man. How come you always post?" And I'm like, "Well, I post my work." It's like like, "Well, I post my work." It's like I'm not just posting like, "I just went I'm not just posting like, "I just went to I just got a big fat burger and to I just got a big fat burger and fries. Check it out. Hey, I just got a fries. Check it out. Hey, I just got a big burrito. Check it out." It's more big burrito. Check it out." It's more like this is what I do for a living for like this is what I do for a living for the last eight years and I people see the last eight years and I people see it. I've gotten jobs from it. It helps it. I've gotten jobs from it. It helps promote what we're doing. But, um, kind promote what we're doing. But, um, kind of the deal. Well, I put it out there of the deal. Well, I put it out there all the time. No, I think it's cool. all the time. No, I think it's cool. It's kind of fun. It's given me some It's kind of fun. It's given me some ideas as I've scrolled through. But, ideas as I've scrolled through. But, hey, Greg, go ahead. Do your thing. I'll hey, Greg, go ahead. Do your thing. I'll stay out of your hair. I don't know if stay out of your hair. I don't know if you got to take measurements or what, you got to take measurements or what, but I'll give you, you know, just do but I'll give you, you know, just do your thing. It's appears to be a your thing. It's appears to be a standard twocar garage. Typically 400 standard twocar garage. Typically 400 square feet, give or take. If you, you square feet, give or take. If you, you know, typically what what I do, I work know, typically what what I do, I work alone. I'm an owner operator. I don't alone. I'm an owner operator. I don't have employees. I do all the work have employees. I do all the work myself. I used to try to have employees. myself. I used to try to have employees. I went through about 10 people, but it's I went through about 10 people, but it's really extremely difficult to find really extremely difficult to find anybody who wants to work. And then if anybody who wants to work. And then if you do find someone that wants to work, you do find someone that wants to work, it's really hard to get for them to keep it's really hard to get for them to keep up. Yeah. They won't work the same, you up. Yeah. They won't work the same, you know. So, I do it myself. I typically know. So, I do it myself. I typically grind the floor with a walkbehind grind the floor with a walkbehind grinder. You want to grind the floor. grinder. You want to grind the floor. You want to you want to remove the about You want to you want to remove the about a business card thickness off the top of a business card thickness off the top of the floor. Makes sense. That way you the floor. Makes sense. That way you open up the pores and the product can open up the pores and the product can bond to it. Okay. Some of these guys bond to it. Okay. Some of these guys will come in like like I'll do a typical will come in like like I'll do a typical twocar garage for like two grand. That's twocar garage for like two grand. That's like a a normal price. My competitors like a a normal price. My competitors are doing it for between 24 and and are doing it for between 24 and and 3,000. And that's because, you know, 3,000. And that's because, you know, they have employees and they have a they have employees and they have a warehouse and these kinds of things. I warehouse and these kinds of things. I don't have any of that overhead. I I do don't have any of that overhead. I I do it all myself and have pretty goodized it all myself and have pretty goodized property that I keep everything on. So, property that I keep everything on. So, you know, some of these you know, some of these do-it-yourselfers will come in and want do-it-yourselfers will come in and want to acid wash it and that's no good. That to acid wash it and that's no good. That just traps the acid in the concrete. just traps the acid in the concrete. Yeah. Starts eating away at it and then Yeah. Starts eating away at it and then they want to use those cheap Home Depot they want to use those cheap Home Depot Rustoleum garage epoxy kits which are Rustoleum garage epoxy kits which are basically junk. I've thought about it basically junk. I've thought about it and I thought, let's reach out to a and I thought, let's reach out to a professional. So you grind the floor. professional. So you grind the floor. Yeah. You patch the cracks. Some people Yeah. You patch the cracks. Some people are like, "There's there's no cracks." are like, "There's there's no cracks." But once you grind the floor, you're But once you grind the floor, you're going to find some spider cracks are in going to find some spider cracks are in there. We patch them because it's a roll there. We patch them because it's a roll on and you got to patch those. So you on and you got to patch those. So you patch that. Then you put roll out. patch that. Then you put roll out. Typically what I do is I do the curbs, Typically what I do is I do the curbs, the stem walls, you know, where the wall the stem walls, you know, where the wall meets the floor. Yeah. Do those first. meets the floor. Yeah. Do those first. You don't really have to grind those You don't really have to grind those usually because they're so porous. usually because they're so porous. They're so already like they've already They're so already like they've already got a good texture like what you're got a good texture like what you're grinding the floor for to get. Right. grinding the floor for to get. Right. And so you clean them off and then I And so you clean them off and then I just coat them and flake them. Vacuum just coat them and flake them. Vacuum everything and then I roll the floor out everything and then I roll the floor out and then I throw flake. Yeah. 99% of the and then I throw flake. Yeah. 99% of the floors are flake. Okay. Every now and floors are flake. Okay. Every now and again someone wants solid color. So my again someone wants solid color. So my wife wanted me to ask, is there a wife wanted me to ask, is there a warranty that you offer with it? Yeah, I warranty that you offer with it? Yeah, I offer like a four-year warranty. Okay, offer like a four-year warranty. Okay, cool. Here. So here's the deal. There's cool. Here. So here's the deal. There's no such thing as a lifetime warranty no such thing as a lifetime warranty because it that's a joke. Okay. There because it that's a joke. Okay. There like you're gonna call somebody in eight like you're gonna call somebody in eight years and say blah blah blah. They're years and say blah blah blah. They're going to be like, "Oh, you know what? going to be like, "Oh, you know what? Um, I don't recall or blah blah blah or Um, I don't recall or blah blah blah or you know, there's fine print." Yeah. The you know, there's fine print." Yeah. The warranties are always about two things. warranties are always about two things. It's about defective material and poor It's about defective material and poor workmanship. So, if the job looks good workmanship. So, if the job looks good when the guy leaves and the next day when the guy leaves and the next day it's dry, you don't have a warranty. it's dry, you don't have a warranty. That's bottom line. It sounds sounds That's bottom line. It sounds sounds lame, but that's how it is. So, I go by lame, but that's how it is. So, I go by the typical, hey, I'm going to give a the typical, hey, I'm going to give a four-year warranty typically if there's four-year warranty typically if there's any issues, you know, bubbling or any issues, you know, bubbling or delaminating or anything that usually delaminating or anything that usually happen inside of two years. So, I double happen inside of two years. So, I double that. All right. Yeah. But my my thought that. All right. Yeah. But my my thought process is this. You stay in business process is this. You stay in business through referral and doing good work. through referral and doing good work. So, if someone has a problem with So, if someone has a problem with something I did, I'm going to go fix it. something I did, I'm going to go fix it. And I don't care if it's been, you know, And I don't care if it's been, you know, seven years because they're going to seven years because they're going to talk good and I'm going to get jobs from talk good and I'm going to get jobs from them. That's basically how it works. So, them. That's basically how it works. So, yeah. And that's one question I want to yeah. And that's one question I want to ask you because I got I got a buddy with ask you because I got I got a buddy with a garage and we were kind of talking a garage and we were kind of talking about it too and he's looking for about it too and he's looking for someone. So, if he wanted to get a hold someone. So, if he wanted to get a hold of you, would I just tell him to hit you of you, would I just tell him to hit you up on Facebook or is there a better way? up on Facebook or is there a better way? Just my phone number is fine. Okay, Just my phone number is fine. Okay, cool. I mean, this is my business phone, cool. I mean, this is my business phone, my cell phone. So, Okay, awesome. You my cell phone. So, Okay, awesome. You know, people are like, "Why don't you know, people are like, "Why don't you get what if somebody calls and bugs you? get what if somebody calls and bugs you? Someone calls and bugs me and then I'll Someone calls and bugs me and then I'll just block their number. They'll never just block their number. They'll never call me again." Love it. Makes total call me again." Love it. Makes total sense. Makes total sense. Hey, I I know sense. Makes total sense. Hey, I I know you're out here for garages, right? I you're out here for garages, right? I had to talk about my floor, but do you had to talk about my floor, but do you mind if I just ask you a couple mind if I just ask you a couple questions while you keep looking around questions while you keep looking around a little bit like uh Cool. So, I I know a little bit like uh Cool. So, I I know you've been out of game a little while, you've been out of game a little while, but I'm hoping you might have a little but I'm hoping you might have a little interest on this project I'm working on. interest on this project I'm working on. It's actually a dirt works bike made by It's actually a dirt works bike made by Livermore Boss for Harry Liry. You were Livermore Boss for Harry Liry. You were friends with Harry, right? Yeah, I was friends with Harry, right? Yeah, I was friends with Harry since I mean, I've friends with Harry since I mean, I've known the guy since I was about 11 years known the guy since I was about 11 years old. friends with him from the time I old. friends with him from the time I was probably was probably 15 16 all the way towards the end the 15 16 all the way towards the end the last seven eight years I haven't really last seven eight years I haven't really been in touch five six years I haven't been in touch five six years I haven't been in touch a whole lot sure but um been in touch a whole lot sure but um but yeah I've known him a long time we but yeah I've known him a long time we had a lot of racing together and stuff had a lot of racing together and stuff so see I I've heard that and I was so see I I've heard that and I was always wondering how you guys met was it always wondering how you guys met was it at WSA yeah when I started I went to WSA at WSA yeah when I started I went to WSA and he raced it was 14 and over at the and he raced it was 14 and over at the time it wasn't 14, 15, 16. It was just time it wasn't 14, 15, 16. It was just 14 and over. He was riding for JMC. So I 14 and over. He was riding for JMC. So I I didn't meet him at WSA, but I watched I didn't meet him at WSA, but I watched him a lot there. And then later we met. him a lot there. And then later we met. I don't exactly remember, but you line I don't exactly remember, but you line up with someone, you start racing them, up with someone, you start racing them, and then you have a few conversations. and then you have a few conversations. Probably when I was about 15, I got to Probably when I was about 15, I got to know him. And yeah, and uh you know, and know him. And yeah, and uh you know, and he used to come over your house to do he used to come over your house to do gates, right? Yeah. He used to come when gates, right? Yeah. He used to come when I lived at home, he would come over. Him I lived at home, he would come over. Him and Clint Miller and Stuart would come and Clint Miller and Stuart would come over and do gates two, three times a over and do gates two, three times a week. And my dad would drop gates or we week. And my dad would drop gates or we would take turns dropping gates. We would take turns dropping gates. We would basically just go out the would basically just go out the driveway, hang a left around the driveway, hang a left around the mailbox, turn around the neighbor's mailbox, turn around the neighbor's driveway and you know the little apron driveway and you know the little apron of the driveway out and ride the of the driveway out and ride the sidewalk back in. Nice. Yeah, because I sidewalk back in. Nice. Yeah, because I was going to ask you who was there. So was going to ask you who was there. So you're saying Clint Miller? That's you're saying Clint Miller? That's pretty cool. Yeah, Clint Miller was pretty cool. Yeah, Clint Miller was there. He was there a lot. He was he was there. He was there a lot. He was he was a good dude. He's a good dude. Very cool a good dude. He's a good dude. Very cool dude. Good friend of mine. So, I've got dude. Good friend of mine. So, I've got to ask, did your wife ever come over to to ask, did your wife ever come over to practice Gates or were like after practice Gates or were like after losing, were you in that like little losing, were you in that like little rascal He-Man woman haters stance at the rascal He-Man woman haters stance at the time? Um, we were 10 years old. Okay. time? Um, we were 10 years old. Okay. Well, before teenage years, you know, I Well, before teenage years, you know, I mean, even you're 13, it's not the same mean, even you're 13, it's not the same as when you're 16, 17. So, yeah. But as when you're 16, 17. So, yeah. But this was when we were younger, you know. this was when we were younger, you know. Okay. I was like, who all would be Okay. I was like, who all would be there? Trying to imagine that. That was there? Trying to imagine that. That was it. My mom would be inside and my dad it. My mom would be inside and my dad would be at work. Sometimes he'd get would be at work. Sometimes he'd get home while we were doing it. Oh, that's home while we were doing it. Oh, that's that's way cool. It wasn't the kind of that's way cool. It wasn't the kind of thing that we were like wanting to have thing that we were like wanting to have 20 people at, you know, it was a 20 people at, you know, it was a threeman gate and there was four of us threeman gate and there was four of us and you you rotated three or four gates and you you rotated three or four gates and you run the gate three or four and you run the gate three or four times. You just keep rotating so times. You just keep rotating so everybody can get time in. You know, everybody can get time in. You know, that's the way to do it. Now, I remember that's the way to do it. Now, I remember uh hearing a story or seeing actually I uh hearing a story or seeing actually I don't think I ever saw the picture of don't think I ever saw the picture of the bike of just doing crazy bike stuff, the bike of just doing crazy bike stuff, but Harry once took a a bike, turned it but Harry once took a a bike, turned it upside down, and welded 225 plates to it upside down, and welded 225 plates to it for the GPV event. Do you Did you ever for the GPV event. Do you Did you ever get into that or the F1 stuff? No, I get into that or the F1 stuff? No, I never did that stuff. I didn't do that never did that stuff. I didn't do that during that time. I was hardcore racing. during that time. I was hardcore racing. Yeah, I was racing for titles during Yeah, I was racing for titles during that time and I just that's all, you that time and I just that's all, you know, you can't really can't do two know, you can't really can't do two things or you're not going to win a things or you're not going to win a title basically. You have to be all in. title basically. You have to be all in. So, I never did that. Makes sense. I've So, I never did that. Makes sense. I've heard that you're the reason that the heard that you're the reason that the Liry was created, the jump, and that he Liry was created, the jump, and that he was trying to tag your helmet and just was trying to tag your helmet and just got further and further away. Did he got further and further away. Did he ever hit you? ever hit you? I don't recall that. I don't If he told I don't recall that. I don't If he told that story, then did he is he the one that story, then did he is he the one that said that? I saw that on a podcast. that said that? I saw that on a podcast. I heard it on a podcast. And it might I heard it on a podcast. And it might have been the deal. It could have been have been the deal. It could have been at WSA on they had a pretty good size at WSA on they had a pretty good size jump. Fair enough. a big roller on the jump. Fair enough. a big roller on the back street for the last turn. And I back street for the last turn. And I think he said he used to like to sit on think he said he used to like to sit on a tabletop if I remember specifically. a tabletop if I remember specifically. Yeah, it could have been a little table Yeah, it could have been a little table or roll. I don't know. It was a pretty or roll. I don't know. It was a pretty good in that day. It was a good jump on good in that day. It was a good jump on the track. That might have been true. I the track. That might have been true. I don't know. You know, it was so long don't know. You know, it was so long ago. You know, he might have never even ago. You know, he might have never even told me that. We've been friends. We told me that. We've been friends. We were friends a long time and I never he were friends a long time and I never he never told me that. So, huh. But I mean, never told me that. So, huh. But I mean, if that's the deal, that's cool. Yeah, if that's the deal, that's cool. Yeah, it is. That's pretty cool because I was it is. That's pretty cool because I was gonna I was gonna say, well, was he gonna I was gonna say, well, was he boasting about that? Like, or maybe you boasting about that? Like, or maybe you can answer that. And when he finally got can answer that. And when he finally got a named Jump, was he just going around a named Jump, was he just going around boasting about that like crazy? No. No, boasting about that like crazy? No. No, I never heard him talk about it ever. I never heard him talk about it ever. No, it's actually really cool to hear. No, it's actually really cool to hear. Yeah. Oh, another quick question I asked Yeah. Oh, another quick question I asked about the floors, the temperature and about the floors, the temperature and humidity issues. Is there anything to humidity issues. Is there anything to worry about that with your floors? worry about that with your floors? uh in terms of the install or just after uh in terms of the install or just after it's all like we live in a humid area. it's all like we live in a humid area. So, is that going to be an issue? Like So, is that going to be an issue? Like will cause that to more so than a dry will cause that to more so than a dry area. Once it's cured out, it won't area. Once it's cured out, it won't matter what the weather is. You know matter what the weather is. You know what I mean? During the process, the what I mean? During the process, the weather, you always have to be concerned weather, you always have to be concerned of the weather. Yeah. I don't use epoxy. of the weather. Yeah. I don't use epoxy. Okay. I use what's called polypartic. Okay. I use what's called polypartic. Oh, okay. Most people never heard of it. Oh, okay. Most people never heard of it. So, if I was polypartic surface So, if I was polypartic surface professionals, I probably would be out professionals, I probably would be out of business. You know, people don't know of business. You know, people don't know what it is. But it's a better product. what it is. But it's a better product. It performs better. When you get below It performs better. When you get below 50°, epoxy almost stops curing, you 50°, epoxy almost stops curing, you know, it just kind of like it takes 50° know, it just kind of like it takes 50° or hotter. And then, um, okay. Yeah. So, or hotter. And then, um, okay. Yeah. So, when you're doing polyartic, you don't when you're doing polyartic, you don't have such limitations. It cures quicker. have such limitations. It cures quicker. If it is massively humid, if it's like If it is massively humid, if it's like 80% humid out, you don't want to pour it 80% humid out, you don't want to pour it because it won't perform properly. It'll because it won't perform properly. It'll cloud up a little bit. It's not a cloud up a little bit. It's not a problem. But that makes sense. For the problem. But that makes sense. For the most part, I uh yeah, it's a good most part, I uh yeah, it's a good product. And 40 degrees out or 100 product. And 40 degrees out or 100 degrees out, I can I can work with that degrees out, I can I can work with that material. It's not a problem. Perfect. material. It's not a problem. Perfect. That works. One word to describe Harry That works. One word to describe Harry Liry as a friend. Uh he's just intense. Liry as a friend. Uh he's just intense. I love it. Even if doing practical I love it. Even if doing practical jokes, he's pretty intense. Yeah, for jokes, he's pretty intense. Yeah, for sure. Is there a favorite joke prank sure. Is there a favorite joke prank that he pulled that uh you don't mind that he pulled that uh you don't mind sharing? sharing? I don't think it was more like pranks. I don't think it was more like pranks. It was more like mutual stuff that you It was more like mutual stuff that you do, just guys doing stuff. I mean, we do, just guys doing stuff. I mean, we would be on tour one time. I remember would be on tour one time. I remember our vehicle going down Interstate 40 and our vehicle going down Interstate 40 and Diamondback was coming up. Harry was Diamondback was coming up. Harry was driving and then just like a food fight driving and then just like a food fight on the highway where you're just on the highway where you're just throwing bananas and all kinds of crap throwing bananas and all kinds of crap on their windshield and on the side of on their windshield and on the side of their van and they're trying to throw it their van and they're trying to throw it on you. Um I love it and loves it too. on you. Um I love it and loves it too. Greg and that's kind of stupid stuff but Greg and that's kind of stupid stuff but Okay, that's that's awesome. I love it. Okay, that's that's awesome. I love it. And then with regards to BMX legend, And then with regards to BMX legend, Harry as a BMX legend. Do you have a Harry as a BMX legend. Do you have a word that could describe him? word that could describe him? I just kind of fall back to the whole I just kind of fall back to the whole intense deal because, you know, he likes intense deal because, you know, he likes to he has he has to hate his to he has he has to hate his competition. Yeah. He has to get all competition. Yeah. He has to get all fired up, you know. Yeah. And I just I fired up, you know. Yeah. And I just I feel like hate's kind of a strong word. feel like hate's kind of a strong word. So I just think it's intense. He just is So I just think it's intense. He just is super intense, man. Okay, that makes super intense, man. Okay, that makes sense. And I've heard similar stories sense. And I've heard similar stories from his own mouth. And I guess that from his own mouth. And I guess that kind of leaves the question is did he kind of leaves the question is did he owe you a last trip into a wall or did owe you a last trip into a wall or did you owe him a last trip into a wall? Um you owe him a last trip into a wall? Um I never to be honest. Yeah, I never to be honest. Yeah, I never really had any issue with Harry. I never really had any issue with Harry. Um, I was thinking in fun. We were we Um, I was thinking in fun. We were we were I don't know how to say this were I don't know how to say this without I don't want it to sound stupid without I don't want it to sound stupid or like whatever, but yeah, you or like whatever, but yeah, you you get into a situation where you're you get into a situation where you're racing and really the only way you're racing and really the only way you're going to have a beef with someone is if going to have a beef with someone is if you're both on the same part of the you're both on the same part of the track trying to occupy the same space at track trying to occupy the same space at the same time and someone does something the same time and someone does something shitty. Yeah, I've had situations like shitty. Yeah, I've had situations like that with people that have run me off that with people that have run me off the track and I've had situations like the track and I've had situations like that where people have been respectful that where people have been respectful and so I never had any drama with Harry and so I never had any drama with Harry so I can't really, you know, I can't so I can't really, you know, I can't really say I owe him one. You know what really say I owe him one. You know what I mean? Like if someone like I'll give I mean? Like if someone like I'll give you an example, Pete Lancerovich kicks you an example, Pete Lancerovich kicks my tire at the 85 NBL grands in the semi my tire at the 85 NBL grands in the semi and I crash. Two months later at the at and I crash. Two months later at the at the ABA Grands, I ran him off the track the ABA Grands, I ran him off the track in his semi. I mean in the third main in his semi. I mean in the third main and uh if I didn't do that he would have and uh if I didn't do that he would have won the number one plate as it was won the number one plate as it was Ronnie Anderson won. So it's like you Ronnie Anderson won. So it's like you know you get equal with people for what know you get equal with people for what they do but none of the people that I'm they do but none of the people that I'm close with Stu Clint Harry RP any of close with Stu Clint Harry RP any of these dudes they never kicked my front these dudes they never kicked my front wheel going into a turn you know. Sure. wheel going into a turn you know. Sure. I don't know. I never did when I got out I don't know. I never did when I got out on the track myself I just focused on on the track myself I just focused on what I was doing and if if someone was what I was doing and if if someone was ahead of me they were more or less just ahead of me they were more or less just in my way is how I looked at it. So it in my way is how I looked at it. So it wasn't a personal thing. I never had any wasn't a personal thing. I never had any beef with Harry at all. Really? Yeah. beef with Harry at all. Really? Yeah. It's kind of what I've heard. It's It's kind of what I've heard. It's really cool to hear your side of things really cool to hear your side of things here. So, I appreciate that. No worries, here. So, I appreciate that. No worries, man. And so, you switched from BMX to to man. And so, you switched from BMX to to doing the floorings. I It sounds like doing the floorings. I It sounds like you're happy and it sounds like you you're happy and it sounds like you believe it was the right decision. If believe it was the right decision. If someone was to do something similar, someone was to do something similar, would you recommend that? It's all would you recommend that? It's all relative. You know, it depends. Like for relative. You know, it depends. Like for me, I was in the the BMX industry, me, I was in the the BMX industry, which, you know, really sucks. Yeah. I which, you know, really sucks. Yeah. I mean, the BMX hobby is fantastic. Yeah. mean, the BMX hobby is fantastic. Yeah. But the BMX business is horrible. But the BMX business is horrible. There's probably, you know, like even There's probably, you know, like even some of the companies that are big in some of the companies that are big in BMX. Yeah. Whatever you consider big to BMX. Yeah. Whatever you consider big to be, the ones that are doing better, I be, the ones that are doing better, I would say they're not making a whole lot would say they're not making a whole lot of money. I mean, they're making a of money. I mean, they're making a living, but nobody's getting wealthy off living, but nobody's getting wealthy off of BMX. You know, for me, once I stopped of BMX. You know, for me, once I stopped doing BMX and shut GHP down and got into doing BMX and shut GHP down and got into flooring, I mean to right now I earn way flooring, I mean to right now I earn way more money than I did in BMX and I have more money than I did in BMX and I have way more time off. I mean, like I'm way more time off. I mean, like I'm never gone on the weekends. I'm home never gone on the weekends. I'm home every night and I'm going to jobs every night and I'm going to jobs making, you know, sometimes in one day making, you know, sometimes in one day more than it took me two weeks to make more than it took me two weeks to make in BMX. And not having anyone say, "Hey, in BMX. And not having anyone say, "Hey, can you hook me up? What's my price? can you hook me up? What's my price? What's my Yeah. You know what I mean? What's my Yeah. You know what I mean? Like in BMX, it's all about the bro Like in BMX, it's all about the bro price, right? When I go to a floor, I price, right? When I go to a floor, I don't ever hear anything like that. don't ever hear anything like that. Yeah. You're just a normal person going Yeah. You're just a normal person going to do a service and you get paid. And to do a service and you get paid. And Yeah. In BMX, the business is just it's Yeah. In BMX, the business is just it's just so unbelievably terrible. Yeah. I just so unbelievably terrible. Yeah. I can only imagine. I've heard, you know, can only imagine. I've heard, you know, stories of being frame manufacturers and stories of being frame manufacturers and kind of just getting hit up and the kind of just getting hit up and the margins aren't great to begin with. So, margins aren't great to begin with. So, how much can you actually give away? The how much can you actually give away? The margins are are terrible. And it the margins are are terrible. And it the problem is there's too many frame when problem is there's too many frame when we stopped there was like 250 different we stopped there was like 250 different frames on the market, you know. Yeah. frames on the market, you know. Yeah. And like we we sold almost like a And like we we sold almost like a thousand frames a year almost. And it thousand frames a year almost. And it was like you're not making any money was like you're not making any money selling that. Probably I don't know how selling that. Probably I don't know how many frames the companies that are doing many frames the companies that are doing good in BMX sell. But you know there's good in BMX sell. But you know there's nobody selling 20,000 frames a year. You nobody selling 20,000 frames a year. You know they might be lucky to sell 2,000. know they might be lucky to sell 2,000. Yeah. I doubt it. But and the biggest Yeah. I doubt it. But and the biggest problem is like this is a prime example problem is like this is a prime example when I got out of BMX and shut GHP down when I got out of BMX and shut GHP down completely. We had probably 35 or 40 completely. We had probably 35 or 40 support teams. They each had like support teams. They each had like anywhere from 5 to 20 riders. Like my my anywhere from 5 to 20 riders. Like my my phone never rang. It's just completely phone never rang. It's just completely stopped. You have people that you think stopped. You have people that you think are your friends and you leave and it's are your friends and you leave and it's gone and you don't hear from no one, you gone and you don't hear from no one, you know? It's like they're off on somebody know? It's like they're off on somebody else's camp to get free stuff and ask else's camp to get free stuff and ask for the hookup, you know? Oh, yeah. No, for the hookup, you know? Oh, yeah. No, I I understand that from a different I I understand that from a different industry's perspective, but yeah, I get industry's perspective, but yeah, I get it. Yeah. I wouldn't get back into BMX it. Yeah. I wouldn't get back into BMX if somebody offered me all the money in if somebody offered me all the money in the world. I would not do it, man. I'm the world. I would not do it, man. I'm glad you're happy. Like, super happy not glad you're happy. Like, super happy not being here, you know. Well, hey, I being here, you know. Well, hey, I appreciate you taking the time to come appreciate you taking the time to come on down and talk with me. Um, no on down and talk with me. Um, no problem, man. It's all good.
