73. When Harry Leary was with Diamondback BMX, his sister, Linda Leary Taylor did not realize that he was the manager of the team. She didn’t know how the younger kids, and even the older people looked up to him and how he ran the team. Linda didn’t know any of that before Harry passed. 

Linda saw her brother as “a figure” at that point - she knew he was “good”, she knew “he made a living doing it”, but… She was a teenager and he didn’t want his sister hanging around. Harry ended up “going his own way with the BMX world.”

His sister would attend his races a lot but she “didn’t go to watch my brother race.” Then why did she go? To meet his friends… “Because he had a lot of cute friends.”
