1993 Auburn 24-Inch Cruiser – “The Creepers Sun”
This custom-built 1993 Auburn 24-inch cruiser, titled The Creepers Sun, represents a distinctive example of early 1990s BMX manufacturing innovation.
The bike is based on Auburn’s unique bolt-together two-piece frame design, which combined a chromoly front triangle with an aluminum rear clip. This approach allowed manufacturers to experiment with weight reduction while maintaining structural strength for cruiser-class racing.
Cruiser BMX bikes—typically built with 24-inch wheels—were popular in racing divisions designed for larger riders and older competitors. Builders often experimented with new materials and frame geometries during this period, making bikes like this one important examples of evolving BMX design.
The custom aesthetic theme of The Creepers Sun adds a unique visual identity to the build while highlighting the craftsmanship and creativity that characterized BMX bike building during the 1990s.
