Governing Standard

This practical guide supports the formal requirements established in:

When this guide and LBS-004 differ, LBS-004 governs.

Approved Mark

The approved Lititz BMX logo consists of:

• the BMX tire and wheel;
• black spokes and center hub;
• the white Pennsylvania keystone;
• the words “Lititz BMX” beneath the wheel.

The geometry, spacing, proportions, and relationship of these elements should remain unchanged.

Approved Variants

Four transparent PNG variants are provided:

1. Black tire / black lettering
2. Black tire / white lettering
3. White tire / black lettering
4. White tire / white lettering

These are color-placement variants of the same approved logo, not separate logo designs.

Background and Transparency

The PNG background is transparent.

The negative-space areas inside the tire remain transparent except for the solid white Pennsylvania keystone. In particular, the open areas between the slanted sides of the keystone and the inside of the tire must remain transparent.

Do not flatten the logo onto a white, black, gray, or checkerboard background before publication unless a specific finished graphic requires a permanent background.

Contrast

Select the variant that keeps both the wheel and lettering readable.

Avoid:

• black elements disappearing into dark backgrounds;
• white elements disappearing into light backgrounds;
• busy photographs that obscure the spokes or lettering;
• placing the logo across abrupt background changes without checking the final result.

Clear Space and Cropping

Leave enough space around the logo for the full tire, lettering, and Pennsylvania keystone to remain visually separate from surrounding content.

Do not crop:

• the outer tire;
• the “Lititz BMX” lettering;
• any part of the Pennsylvania keystone.

No formal minimum reproduction size has been adopted. Confirm that the spokes, keystone, and lettering remain legible at the intended size.

Prohibited Alterations

Do not:

• add glow;
• add shadows;
• add outlines not present in the approved file;
• change the typeface;
• move the lettering;
• separate the wheel from the lettering;
• modify the spoke pattern;
• change the hub;
• reshape or duplicate the keystone;
• fill the transparent side areas around the keystone;
• add slogans, badges, or other marks to the logo;
• create new color combinations without approval.

File Integrity

Use the original PNG files from the official Lititz BMX documentation repository whenever possible. Repeated saving, screenshotting, or social-media compression may soften edges or damage transparency.

The accompanying ASSET-MANIFEST.csv records the approved filenames, dimensions, and SHA-256 checksums for file verification.

Rights and Attribution

The Lititz BMX name, logo, branding, archive content, and archive links remain the property of Lititz BMX.
