Campaign Overview

In March 2025, Lititz BMX launched a multi-part social-media campaign documenting the reconstruction of a 40th Anniversary Radical Rick figure.

What began as a collection of unidentified figure components became a serialized story connecting BMX history, comic culture, preservation, community participation, and the work of Radical Rick creator Damian Fulton.

The campaign followed the figure piece by piece, explored the history surrounding Radical Rick, incorporated related interviews and archival material, and concluded with a completed figure, a community giveaway, and a final retrospective video.

Visual Evidence and Fixity

The image layer contains 19 full public-page captures and 19 associated social-media screenshots. Eighteen episode pairs are verified source records. Episode 15’s pair is deliberately classified as contaminated duplicate evidence.


Publication Chronology

The verified publication-date sequence is:

Episode 15 is not included in the chronological sequence because its original publication date and source post have not been recovered.


Episode 15 — The Lost Episode

The current Episode 15 public page duplicates the image and text used for Episode 12.

The original Episode 15 title, “Was There More?”, has been retained. However, its original publication date, image, post text, and narrative purpose remain unverified.

The numbering gap has intentionally been preserved. Episode 15 will not be rewritten, replaced, or reconstructed without supporting source evidence.

Archival Method

This repository separates:

  1. Original campaign language — preserved from the published posts and pages.
  2. Normalized archival summaries — written to explain each episode clearly without silently changing the original record.
  3. Verification notes — used to document duplicates, missing sources, chronology differences, and unresolved questions.
  4. Structured data — supplied through Markdown, CSV, and Excel ledger formats.

The reconstructed figure connects physical preservation with BMX publications, comic art, creator history, rider memories, interviews, community participation, and public education.

Lititz BMX preserves the campaign not only as a record of the finished object, but as documentation of the story, research, and community engagement surrounding it.
