Canonical page transcription

Located in St. Albert, Alberta, just northwest of Edmonton, St. Albert BMX is one of Western Canada’s longstanding BMX racing organizations. Established in 1983, the volunteer-driven non-profit club has played an important role in grassroots rider development and provincial BMX competition for more than four decades. Operating from Riel Recreation Park under BMX Canada sanctioning, the facility supports riders ranging from beginners to national-level competitors.

The track is known for its modern layout featuring a covered starting hill, pneumatic starting gate, asphalt turns, rhythm sections, and progressive jump features designed to challenge riders across multiple skill levels. The facility also includes spectator-friendly infrastructure and seasonal programming that supports both competition and community participation.

Throughout its history, St. Albert BMX has hosted Alberta Provincial Series competition and Canada Cup events, helping maintain its strong presence within Canadian BMX racing. Supported by volunteers, families, and local riders, the club continues to balance competitive athlete development with an accessible community-focused environment.
