In Her Own Words: Message from BMX Legend Harry Leary's former "marriage partner" and "life long friend":
"His first love (next to BMX) and his shortly lived marriage partner but life long friend here. Harry was perfectly imperfect, like the rest of us. He was a complete contradiction, tough but gentle, brave but scared, logical but illogical, serious but lighthearted, adventurous and spontaneous but focused and planned. I could go on and on. If he ever felt love in his heart for you, that never went away, to his own detriment. He was more than BMX. He was a music lover, he was a dancer (believe it or not), he loved dogs, movies, swimming and a plethora of other things. He remembered special dates and nicknames. He saved silly things like old love letters, even to this day. He had his daemons, don't get me wrong but they were conquered the day he accepted the Lord. Now he is free of them and resting in the arms of Christ while being reunited with the love of his life Shelly, his father and grandparents and the many friends that went before him. He's good."
