Rec meeting tomorrow morning... I made these handouts - 15 total. Speech below. Wish us luck!

Hi, I’m Kyle Huffman. I’ve lived here in Warwick Township for over 10 years, and I’m also a twice-deployed, retired Veteran, and a BMX history enthusiast.
I put together a one-page concept that I’ve handed out and some samples. This isn’t a proposal to build something tomorrow — it’s just an idea to show how a small area of the park could potentially be used differently, without impacting anything that’s already there.
I tried to look at it from the township perspective — thinking about land use, drainage, and maintenance — not just from a riding standpoint.
A pump track is a small loop that works for bikes, scooters, skateboards, really all wheel based sports, and riders of all ages and abilities. They are designed to be low-speed, controlled, and very accessible.
What stood out to me about this location is that it sits on the edge of existing activity. It doesn’t interfere with any current fields, and it connects naturally to the rail trail that’s already heavily used.
So instead of adding something new somewhere else, it’s really just about activating space that’s already there.
From a practical standpoint, it can reduce mowing and maintenance in that area, and with proper design, it can also improve how water is managed compared to turf.
I’ll keep it brief since most of the details are on the page, but I just wanted to share the idea and see if it’s something worth exploring further as a township.
I also brought a second page just to give a visual sense of what these look like — different layouts and sizes depending on the space.
Thank you for your time.

Hi, Iâm Kyle Huffman. Iâve lived here in Warwick Township for over 10 years, and Iâm also a twice-deployed, retired Veteran, and a BMX history enthusiast.
I put together a one-page concept that Iâve handed out and some samples. This isnât a proposal to build something tomorrow â itâs just an idea to show how a small area of the park could potentially be used differently, without impacting anything thatâs already there.
I tried to look at it from the township perspective â thinking about land use, drainage, and maintenance â not just from a riding standpoint.

The original field is retained exactly as exported. The human-readable field repairs character-encoding damage only; it does not rewrite wording or correct claims.
