Chapter 3: One Mile At a Time

While not too heavy on BMX, this was such a fun chapter to read about of a young man who grows up to become successful through hard-work, discipline, and knowing his self-worth - in addition to the author of the book’s mentorship. This young man began his relationship with the mentor white he was still in high school. After Mike (author/mentor) invited soon-to-be high school graduates in for an interview and ended up hiring two of them. 

One of them lasted a couple of weeks, but in this chapter we get to see the continued relationship and career growth between Mike and Alex/Alejandro/Mauricio. If you can visualize, you get to watch this high school student who taught the master something, left and relocated for growth, returned and never looked back.
