Harry Leary’s loaner Daylight Cycle Co. 20” BMX bike had mushroom on it - It was pointed out to Greg Mathias that Harry Leary was a part of a famous say no to drugs signature campaign in the 1980’s.
**It has been explained to the museum that there were no intended drug references**
“Just to set the record straight — the “enchanted forest” custom ceramic paint that included a pattern of fern leaves and little mushrooms was inspired by and painted to match a pair of Line skis. The bike was on loan to Harry after his other 20” was accidentally run over by a car. There were and are no intended drug references.”
