In this clip from the Pump Track Chat podcast, @[1317788562:2048:Brandon Hetrick] explains that in Port Angeles, him and his team work with ADA officials to create guidelines for building ADA friendly and compliant tracks.

What the ADA does
It prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in areas like employment, public services, public places, transportation, and telecommunications.

It ensures people with disabilities have the same opportunities as everyone else — to work, shop, access government services, and participate in community life.

🧩 What counts as a disability under the ADA
The ADA protects anyone who meets its legal definition of disability, which includes a wide range of physical, emotional, psychological, and learning conditions.

📚 How the law is structured
The ADA is divided into five titles that cover:
Employment (Title I)
State and local government services (Title II)
Public accommodations and commercial facilities (Title III)
Telecommunications access (Title IV)
Miscellaneous provisions (Title V)

A bit of history
It was signed into law in 1990 and modeled after earlier civil rights laws protecting people from discrimination based on race or gender.
