Chapter 8: How to Keep Day One Excitement
Ok Lititz BMX Book Club Members, I think we might be finding a cadence here. Chapter 8 brings us reminders, hope, and guidance to not let Day One slip through your fingers. To be honest, I read this chapter to my daughter while giving her a bath last night. I think she liked it, she did scream and throw Little People around a bit but I am not convinced that it was because of Mike’s words from my mouth.
Why am I not convinced? Because this was a fun read!
Chapter 8 starts with a simple truth, “Everyone has their reasons for doing what they do when they do it.” The chapter then goes on to discuss examples and suggestions. Other truths outlined in his words from this chapter include:
“Someday in the future, tough times will come.”
“I let the emotions change the path of my life.”
“Then one day, something changes. Some small thing that was never part of the DAY ONE mission just makes them so unhappy that they can’t do this anymore.”
“They abandon what once made them happy.”
“Whatever it is…” Review your Day One by keeping a journey when you start something new.
<trials, tribulations, life.>
“The fact is, they forgot DAY ONE.”
“What if we could bring them back to DAY ONE”?
