Chapter 12: My Conclusion
This was it… I am sad that it is over but happy I can now reflect on it. I’ll save that final reflection for a wrap-up. This is about Chapter 12 - I know it isn’t Mike’s ultimate conclusion, but that is what it is titled so that is what we are going with.
I am torn on how to handle the quotes from this chapter because I feel like I would be re-writing his entire chapter- most of it is underlined… He doesn’t give you many places to take a break in that regard - I read it during my daughter's bathtime last night and got up this morning to draft this.
I hope I do Mike justice in this quick snippet of stringed quotes:
“It doesn’t matter if you race BMX, play baseball, or”...”What matters is DAY ONE”...”Your ability to remember why”...determines “how many day days there are until the last day” - “The sooner you forget, the sooner it ends”...”conversely, the longer you can remember DAY ONE, the longer you will enjoy whatever it is.” - Not everyone will understand…“They just won’t get it until they have their own DAY ONE someday” - Go ride your kid bike or dance with your wife or whatever your day one is.
