Human-readable text

In March, we started a project because of a failure.

We were trying to use AI to help organize our collection. It didn't work.

So we built our own system.

What started as a simple Google Sheet evolved into a searchable archive, media platform, learning resource, and knowledge management project containing more than 500 pages of original content.

Along the way, we found ourselves applying many of the principles that Kyle brings as a retired Instructional Designer:

• Information Architecture
• Content Strategy
• Digital Storytelling
• Learner Engagement
• Knowledge Preservation
• Scalable Content Development

The subject matter happens to be BMX.

The lessons learned apply far beyond BMX.

As we continue developing Lititz BMX, we are increasingly realizing that this project isn't about bicycles - it's about creating meaningful learning experiences from stories, artifacts, media, and community knowledge.

Sometimes the most interesting projects begin with a simple spreadsheet and a problem nobody else could solve for you.

Years ago, I (Kyle) wrote an article called the "3 of 10 Rule." Looking back, this project feels like another example of that idea in action.
