Published argument

“Your Honor, this case has never been about one moment—it is about a pattern. The evidence shows that Cru Jones advanced through the field not solely by skill, but through disruption, questionable positioning, and ultimately a line that calls into question whether he remained within the course at all. Each exhibit, on its own, raises concern. Together, they establish a race that was altered—not earned.

The riders of Team Mongoose—and every competitor in that qualifier—entered under the same expectation: that the course would be respected, the competition would be fair, and the outcome would be decided within those boundaries. When a rider gains advantage through chaos, and potentially by stepping outside those boundaries entirely, the integrity of the race is compromised.

So the question before this court is simple: do we reward the result, or do we uphold the rules that make the result meaningful? On behalf of Team Mongoose, we ask that the court uphold those rules.

Cru Jones should be disqualified..” - Duke Best / Jack Weston
